School is officially out until April 24th. Paper packets will be available Monday April 13th. These packets will include 3 weeks of work this time. If you are working solely online you do not need the paper packets, but need to keep working daily (school days) online. As always message me any questions. Stay healthy and happy and have a great week.🍎🐾

Here are the PDF version of the hard copy packets I am sending out. If you wish to do both online work and paper-pencil. It is your choice. :) Please do anything you can online. It is easier that way to track data. Thank you for all your hard work!
Hello Families,
I want to first thank all of you for all you are doing! I am cognizant each of your circumstances is unique and I am working to meet ALL of your individual learning needs as they change or evolve. I appreciate the feedback on what is working and what could be altered- to help you. If your student has not yet taken the Thursday spelling test on Unit 22 spellingcity.com please do that this week and keep studying Unit 23 and test on 23 this Thursday. Besides taking the test students benefit from 20min. of ELA( English Language Arts) per day. Have them continue to also practice on the spellingcity word games. The online program allows me to monitor remotely what they are doing which in turn will allow me to do grades at the end of May easier and with concrete data. If you have not practiced typing while doing the Daily Oral Language ( DOL) each week please try to start. This can be accomplished on Typetastic.com. The students should be going from level 3 to 4 if they have not already done so. Read online and with books. The more you read the better you get! Keep doing assignments on splashmath, which has changed its name to splashlearn.com, and prodigy.com. If you are able look up https://app.kidslisten.org/ and let your kiddo pick a topic of interest and do their writing journals from information and knowledge learned from any of these podcasts. It is safe for kids and free( which you know I am all about when it comes to giving you resources during this time) I will post more here on our class webpage https://vaughnfirstgrade.weebly.com I post Wednesday blog post updates, assignments, resources, YouTube tutorials, and other important concepts I would like your student to learn during this time of distance learning during a worldwide pandemic. For now I am planning to continue through the end of the month what we have established and are going to get into a routine. Apologies, for any confusion as I tried to adjust my distance instruction to meet Elementary child development needs and Your individual family circumstance needs. I will post this email on the class Facebook page and our Weebly page to reach as many of you as possible. We do have a demographic of students who are not online and I am also working extra to meet those students' needs as well as teach my own daughter 3rd grade. If I do not respond to your text, email, or message please know I will do so as soon as I am able at a reasonable time of day. Thank you for your teamwork and understanding. Stay safe, healthy, and have a great Day! Get some sunshine. Ms. M Ms. Jennifer A. Molyneaux, M. Ed.
